Today I met a mom named Jeane. I asked if she was having a good day. She was honest — it was a hard one.
I gave her a small gift, $500 tucked inside. She broke down in tears and told me the truth: she and her 6-year-old son are homeless, sleeping in their broken-down car. No family nearby. Nowhere else to go.
